The creature is blind, but it senses them. It is a symbol of the blind, consuming world. The Awakening The man wakes to the cold reality. He knows the dream is a warning. He must protect the child.

The Colorful Dreams

The Siren Worlds The Temptation The man dreams of walking in a flowering wood, birds flying, sky aching blue. But he learns to wake himself from such siren worlds. They are the call of languor and death. The Peach He tastes a peach from a phantom orchard. The flavor fades in his mouth. The dreams are rich in color, but they turn to ash upon waking. The Waking He says the right dreams for a man in peril are dreams of peril. He sleeps poorly, haunted by the past and the future.
